NFL Team Jerseys Tier List: All 32 Ranked

Thirty-two teams, thirty-two takes on what a football jersey should look like. Some have barely changed in decades because they didn't need to. Others have been through so many redesigns the current look doesn't resemble what made them famous in the first place.

This ranking leans on what fans and uniform-nerd communities tend to agree on when they argue about this stuff, plus our own calls where the debates never settle. Disagree with where your team landed? That's half the fun of a list like this. Rank it yourself and see how close you get.

How we ranked them

We weighed how distinctive and timeless the design is, how well it represents the team's identity and city, and how it holds up compared to the rest of the league. Consistency mattered too: teams that have stuck with (or returned to) a classic look generally rank higher than ones that keep tinkering. Current primary jerseys are the focus, not throwbacks or one-off alternates.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys are the names that come up most often in these debates, mostly because they've barely changed in decades and still look sharp.

Which NFL team has changed its jersey the most?

The Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are usually cited as the teams with the most uniform overhauls over their history.

What makes an NFL jersey design rank highly?

Consistency, a strong color identity, and a logo that's instantly recognizable even without the team name attached.

Are throwback jerseys included in this ranking?

No, this list focuses on each team's current primary home and away jerseys, not throwback or alternate uniforms.

Why do the Cleveland Browns rank lower despite their history?

Fans are genuinely split on this one. The lack of a helmet logo is beloved by traditionalists but seen by others as a design that's never really grown with the team.
