How we ranked them

We scored every chain on three things: how good its signature items are, how consistent it is between locations, and value for money. Chains with a short menu done well ranked above chains with a huge menu done poorly. Regional chains were judged on their own locations, not on how easy they are to find. This is one editor’s ranking, so the community tier list may disagree.
